AUGUSTA, GA (Anibal Ibarra) - A meeting (Video above) will take place August 11 at the building located on 6th Street and Broad Street. People in the art community from Augusta and Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) will discuss the idea of a group (cartel) of artists working together in Augusta to further the cultural growth of the CSRA.
"It's a new concept or way of looking at Artists representation in Augusta. it seems as if there is little to do with art in this community and the ones in charge could care less about the advancement of culture in this town.
It's also to step away from the cliquish artist group that seems to be what people see as the ones to go to in town. Its based on the concept of if you're unhappy with something... quit complaining and change it. my attempt to change things." (As read on Ron Turner page)
