Voting Options for May 20 Elections

AUGUSTA, GA (PR) - Voters in Georgia have many options available to them for casting their ballot in the upcoming May 20, 2014 General Primary and Non Partisan Election. Voting by Mail began Friday, April 4, 2014 and will continue through Friday, May 16, 2014. Interested persons must apply in writing with the Board of Elections office.


Advance Voting will begin Monday, April 28, 2014. For the first two weeks and through Friday, May 9, 2014 Advance Voting will be available only at the Board of Elections Main Advance Voting Center at 530 Greene Street from the hours of 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM daily.

Saturday Voting will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Board of Elections Main Advance Voting Center, the Warren Road Rec. Center, the Henry Brigham Rec. Center, and the Diamond Lakes Regional Park from the hours of 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Extended Hours for Advance Voting will begin Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Board of Elections Main Advance Voting Center, the Warren Road Rec. Center, the Henry Brigham Rec. Center, and the Diamond Lakes Regional Park from the hours of 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM daily through Friday, May 16, 2014.

All voters voting in person must provide one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification and do not have to provide a reason for voting. Voters participating in the General Primary should be prepared to choose their party preference.

Any ensuing runoff from this election will be held on July 22, 2014.
