Robbing an Elder Neighbor for Drug

On Wednesday 11/13/2013 at approximately 11:58 PM the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3314 Blanchard Road, Augusta GA 30906 in reference to a robbery of the resident, 78yoa W/F Janice Donaldson.  

Upon officer’s arrival it was learned that earlier during the day Latasha Rouse (B/F, 34yoa, of 2515 Georgetown Drive) an acquaintance of Donaldson’s from the neighborhood,  came by Donaldson’s residence to borrow money to pay Rouse’ s Georgia Power Bill.  

Donaldson loaned Rouse the money and even drove Rouse to the Georgia Power building on Walton Way to pay the bill.  At approximately 11:30 PM Donaldson heard a knock on her front door and went to the door to see who it was.  

Unbeknownst to Donaldson it was Rouse at her front door posing as her next door neighbor and claiming she was hurt.  Donaldson cracked open the front door at which time Rouse pushed her way into the residence knocking Donaldson into the wall and eventually to the ground.  

Rouse then stole an undisclosed amount of money from Donaldson’s purse and ran from the scene.  Investigators subsequently apprehended Rouse at her residence.  During the investigation it was learned that Rouse did not use the money she initially received from Donaldson to pay the power bill but instead purchased narcotics.  

Rouse is currently being held in the Richmond County Jail on the charges of Robbery by Force and Possession of Cocaine.  Attached is the Rouse’s booking photo.  Donaldson was treated at the scene for minor injuries to her head and lower back.

WANTED

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division, is looking for 54 yoa B/M Charlie David Davis who has outstanding arrest warrants for the following charges:

1. Aggravated Assault

2. Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime

3. Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Subject is said to be in possession of a light green/turquoise  1995 Chevrolet Cavalier. Attached is a photograph of Davis. Be advised that the photograph was taken approximately 14 years ago. The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in the 2100 blk of Service Drive in Olmstead Homes.
