School Recycling Program



THOMSON, GA - Precision Waste Services and Keep Columbia County Beautiful officially launched their school recycling program this week at River Ridge Elementary School in Evans, GA.


"By providing recycling opportunities for local children, we are creating a culture of conservation that extends beyond the classroom," said Jenny Hinson, Green Programs Manager for Columbia County. "Our organization is excited to partner with a community leader like Precision Waste on this important initiative and we look forward to expanding these efforts in the New Year."

"At Precision Waste, our goal is to create cleaner, greener communities," said Robert Alan Wilson, president of Precision Waste Services.  "We share in the mission and vision of Keep Columbia County Beautiful, and look forward to educating our youth on the importance of recycling."

Columbia County Commissioners Trey Allen, Doug Duncan, and Mack Taylor joined representatives from Precision Waste, Keep Columbia County Beautiful, and River Ridge Elementary School for the kick-off.

Bus Accident 

EVANS, GA (PR) 2/12/2015 - This afternoon a Columbia County School System special education school bus with one child and one bus aide overturned on William Few Parkway. At this time, it appears that the child and bus driver are unharmed. The bus aide and driver have been transported to area hospitals.
