AUGUSTA, GA (PR) - Lieutenant Colonel Peter G. Knight, U.S. Army Deputy Commander for the 706th Military Intelligence Group at Fort Gordon, will be the guest speaker at the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home at 9 a.m. Monday, May 25.
LTC Knight has served his country for more than 20 years and is highly decorated. Awards include the National Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Bronze Star.
He is currently supporting the National Security Agency’s Georgia mission. Fort Gordon’s U.S. Army Signal Corps Band and Post Ceremonial Detachment Color Guard also will be featured.
The Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home is operated through an interagency agreement between Georgia Regents University and the Georgia Department of Veterans Service
