GA Legislature Keeps The Latino Lobby Busy

ATLANTA, GA (GALEO) - There is a lot going on and your actions and raising your voice is necessary.  It is needed to both stop efforts to deny DREAM'ers access to driver's licenses, but also to help move immigration reform forward.

Please see below for all sorts of activities and actions needed on actions at the GA Legislature, immigration reform and on the 2014 elections for Governor, U.S. Senate, Congress and State Legislature.  YOUR voice and engagement are needed.

  • DACA students are needed at the Capitol on Monday at 2:00 PM.
  • Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO) continues Recruiting for the GALEO Institute for Leadership Class of 2014, deadline coming soon. 
  • GALEO is seeking college interns
  • VOLUNTEERS needed for registering New Americans at naturalization ceremonies
  • Volunteers needed to call Latino voters to engage them on immigration reform advocacy.
  • GALEO Leadership Council is up and ready with lots of events and plans.  Join our efforts and attend our monthly meetings starting in March.
