The CSRA African American Arts Alliance in support of The Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta will host a meet and greet with visual artist Ms. Georgia Brooks at The Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta on Saturday June 2nd from 1-3pm. The Center is located at 100 Georgia Avenue in Downtown North Augusta. Admission is free and donations are welcome.
Mrs. Brooks began her path in the art world at the young age of 5. She has sung in Carnegie Hall and has exhibited her artwork at the World’s Fair when it was hosted by New York City in 1964.
The artworks featured in this exhibit reflect the tumultuous decades of 1960 & 1970 in America during the Civil Rights movement.
Mrs. Brooks will be in attendance to meet with any guests during the reception. She has been a resident of North Augusta since 1996 and is a great supporter of the arts community in her hometown.
