New Precinct Information Cards for Voters


AUGUSTA, GA (PR) - The Richmond County Board of Elections is mailing out new Precinct Information Cards to voters in Richmond County whose polling location has changed. The polling location changes will affect all voters who formerly voted at the VFW Post 649 located at 2430 Windsor Spring Road and all voters who formerly voted at the Crossroad Fellowship Church located at 3875 Wrightsboro Road. All changes will take effect immediately and for the upcoming November 3, 2015 Special Election in Augusta-Richmond County.


The new polling locations for these precincts are: VFW – the new location is the Augusta Service Center, 3463 Peach Orchard Road. Crossroads Fellowship Church – this precinct has been split with a portion of the voters reporting to the Sharon Baptist Church located at 3434 Sharon Road and a portion of the voters reporting to the Providence Baptist Church located at 3850 Wrightsboro Road. 

The specific polling location will be listed on the new Precinct Information Card.

Also, pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-233 and 21-2-234 a Confirmation Notice has been mailed to all voters with whom the Board of Elections has had no contact within three years and to voters who have filed a change of address with the US Postal Service within the last year. Any voter who receives a Confirmation Notice and wishes to remain on the active list of voters for Richmond County should complete the form and return it to the Board of Elections Office as indicated in the instructions.

Elections Director, Lynn Bailey stated, “There are many elections coming up in the near future and voters should do their best to make sure their voting information is up to date. The next upcoming Voter Registration Deadline will be October 5, 2015 and the next upcoming election will be the Special Election on November 3, 2015 for the SPLOST Referendum.”
