For GA Republicans, Christmas is a Time for Giving

Throughout the Peach State, Republican organizations worked tirelessly this Holiday Season to provide a better Christmas for the less fortunate in their community.   The Union County Republican Party donated 14,000 pounds of food to the needy (175,000 pounds total in 2013), Gwinnett County Republicans gave monogrammed duffel bags stuffed with clothes and toys to children in the DFACS system, and county parties in Atkinson and DeKalb rang bells to raise money for the Salvation Army.

The Oconee County GOP and Cherokee County Young Republicans donated food to their local food pantry and the Jackson County Republicans collected coats for folks in the area.  And many Republican clubs (including the Georgia Republican Party) collected toys (2,000 total) for the "Toys for Tots" campaign.

But the Party's community service is not limited to just the Holiday Season.  Under the leadership of 1st Vice-Chairman Michael McNeely, the GAGOP Service Committee will lend a hand next year to people and non-profits throughout Georgia.  We're reaching out not because it's politically advantageous but because it's the right thing to do.

Like the Bible says, "When someone has been given much, much will be required in return." We are a blessed people and should always look for ways to bless others.  I hope you will join your fellow Georgia Republicans - now and in the future - in making a difference through service.

On behalf of the Georgia Republican Party, we thank you for your continued support and commitment to conservative values and principles. May your Holiday Season be filled with warm memories and your New Year full of peace and happiness.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

John

John Padgett, Chairman
Georgia Republican Party
