AUGUSTA, GA (Christen Carter) – Georgia Regents University President Ricardo Azziz will serve as presidential facilitator for the American Council on Education’s Institute for New Presidents during the organization’s 96th Annual Meeting March 8-11 in San Diego.
ACE is a national higher education association that represents the presidents of U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions. The association has more than 1,800 member institutions, and its members meet regularly to discuss the nation’s higher education landscape and present solutions to its most pressing issues.
As facilitator, Azziz will meet with 25 new university Presidents to discuss individualized challenges and achievements. The session is one of three face-to-face meetings that are part of a 9-month program aimed at ensuring that new presidents find success in an increasingly volatile and challenging environment.
“I am honored to serve as facilitator for such an esteemed group of university leaders and colleagues,” Azziz said. “I appreciate this unique opportunity, afforded to me by the American Council on Education, to forge connections with new university presidents, and to impart experience and knowledge while benefiting from the group’s collective expertise.”
