The Richmond County Board of Education supports charter schools but rejects HR 1162.
If a student in a charter school do not achieve a goal, imposed by the charter school, he or she can be spelled from the charter school and send back to a public school. The tax money, taken from the public school and invested for that child at the charter school, lets say 1,000.00 for a year, do not goes back with the student and the charter school keep it.
Since there is a lot of tax money in play many private schools now are looking to apply for charter school so they can enjoy the tax money which is practically unaccountable, or like somebody say: taxation without representation.
