District One Commissioner Race





AUGUSTA, GEORGIA - Harrisburg resident, Denice Traina will formally announce her intent to compete for the District One Commissioner seat on Monday April 30 at 10 am in front of the Augusta Transit Authority on Broad St. Denice has been an active member of her community for over 20 years, received her formal education at MCG/GHSU and started the first community garden (The Harrisburg Community Garden) in Augusta!

ATLANTA, GA - The Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights (GLAHR), the ACLU Foundation of Georgia, and the National Day Labor Organizing Network will file a Freedom of Information Act request with Immigration and Customs Enforcement for previously unavailable data related to the relationship between local law enforcement agencies across the state and the deportation of Georgia residents by ICE.

Williams holds a B.A. in economics from California State University, Los Angeles, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from UCLA. The Augusta government leaders should try to listen his speech  since Dr. Williams explains that the role of government is not building Civic Centers, TEE Centers or the most outrageous of all; the building of a ballpark with taxpayers money.
